Angela Pate

Angela Pate is currently the Executive Director of FloridaWorks, the Workforce Board for Alachua and Bradford Counties. She has been in the workforce industry for over five years and has provided employment, education and career development services to tens of thousands of participants all over the state of Florida in five different workforce regions. Ms. Pate's personal mission to help people in need has led her to serve on many community-based social and human services boards. In addition to her work in this capacity, Ms. Pate is also responsible for marketing FMS' products and service offerings directly to potential clients via her vast network of workforce, social service and government contacts.

Ms. Pate has demonstrated an ability to successfully create and support programs that help people in poverty make progress toward self-sufficiency. She is a strong advocate of partnerships between businesses, faith and community based organizations, and the regional workforce system to help people overcome barriers to employment. Ms. Pate is known for her ability to think outside the box and visualize and implement workable solutions to help others help themselves. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida (UF), and has pursued post-graduate studies at both UF and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
